Healthy male and female participants to participate in a paid research study examining the effects of different tasks (i.e. eating, drinking, smoking, talking, etc.) on mood response.
What is it?
The Moods, Behaviors, and Social Interaction (MBSI) Project is a paid research study being conducted by Dr. Andrea King at the University of Chicago's Clinical Addictions Research Laboratory.
Eligible candidates will complete one, two-hour visit to the lab, where they will answer demographic and health history questionnaires, complete blood pressure readings, and answer questionnaires about their current mood before and after exposure to a common task (eating, drinking, smoking, conversing, or viewing pictures) alone or with another study subject.
- $30.00 for study completion
- Transportation reimbursement (CTA passes or parking validation) will be provided
Who Can Apply?
- Healthy males and females
- 18-35 years old
- Must smoke cigarettes daily (1-30 cigs/day)
